Howdyhoooo. So it's been a few days since I've posted, and I figured I'd give a little updating action. Since we left Ludovic's flat, we landed in the wonderful town of Nice. Honestly, this place is awesome. The beach is absolutely gorgeous (and blue) and the people are quite friendly (but don't try and go to a restaurant and only order dessert, they get PO'd).
On our first night in town, we went out for a late night snack, well, dinner, at a place that had live music. We sat for about 3 hours drinking cider, listening to some guy play Bob Marley covers, and me getting "pwnd" in about 20 games of hangman. Little did Jillian know that w is sometimes a vowel. :) I literally had to start making up words to beat her. But it was an awesome night.
The next morning, looking out at the ocean blue, our nerd reflexes took over, and we decided to calculate the distance we could see to the horizon before the curvature of the earth takes effect. We got about 3 miles from a 2 meter tall person if you were wondering. Yep, I'm a geek.
Anyway, we go on a tour to Monaco this after noon, so that should be pretty rad, we'll post about it later!! BYYYYEEEEE

Nice! The boardwalk there is beautiful, definitely one of my favorite cities in the world.
ReplyDeleteMonaco is pretty ritzy... if you're not wearing designer clothes you definitely stick out like a sore thumb (and it makes it pretty obvious you're a tourist).
