Goodbye Paris!

Well, after 4 nights, 5 days, 429 metro rides and 38 miles walked, we are heading out by train to the quaint town of Tours. It's time for castles!!!! A few things we learned so far:
1. Street signs are more suggestions than law.
2. Cops come in 3 and you don't F with the Eiffel Tower (they carry machine guns)
3. They put the "nun" in conundrum.
4. There are nowhere near enough crepes.
5. You can save millions (yes, millions) by buying food from grocery stores instead of eating out
6. For God's sake (and your partners') sniff your cheese before buy it!

See you in Tours. Paris, you've been a wily mistress.

  3. I believe it was an ancient sage who opined, "Never sniff a gift cheese..." As for fellow travelers, just be sure they have some with you!

Sounds like you are having fun. Keep up the blogging. How about a new photo or 2?

It has turned cold here, and we finallly got your mother to close some windows. Can you believe it?
